Powerful, Entertaining, and Soul Satisfying!!!!

Brady Goodwin Jr. tells a great story in City of Allegory. The storytelling flows smoothly with a great deal of twits and turns that keeps the reader on their toes.Along with a great plot, Goodwin also seeks to tell another story within the story. City of Allegory does a great job of hiding out in the open Christian truths that causes one to reflect and wish for an authentic spirituality that leaves ones soul satisfied. Also this book offers refreshing moral ideas that push against so many of our cultural norms that at face value seem good, however, with Goodwin's insight bringing our culture into question one cannot help but to reflect and see the culture differently. Calling for a new way of seeing the world and living in it. One of the main themes of the book is for one to realize that things are not always what they seem and we should fight with all our power to find the Truth that satisfies our soul. With a counter-cultural, powerful story, Brady Goodwin Jr. has written a story that both young and old can enjoy and grow from.

Finished It in One Day!

This was a book that I couldn't put down, got in the mail and finished it the same day. Still re-reading it and using the bible to check all the references. An amazing concept and language to speak to today's generation of unengaged youth and adults. A new universe to get lost in. I want more, I want to have a book shelf full of these stories. Biblically inspired, practically interpreted. Conversation piece. Finished it and immediately started to re read it. Good old story. Loved every second of it.

Great book! A modern Pilgrim's Progress

This is a "hard to put down" book that boils the Bible down to a clever and easy to understand story. I recently read Pilgrim's progress and had trouble getting through it, but not this one! I'll be starting to read the second book in the series soon!
